My mom and I were talking about making homemade calzones since my friend told me her neighborhood pizza place was selling them. So, we bought dough and then today I worked from home and decided to make a stromboli (yay snow day!) I also ate way too much of it but miraculously I still have plenty of Weight Watchers points left :) And I'll be doing my workout and cleaning all the snow off my car later so I plan on moving! Anyway, making your own pizza, calzone or stromboli at home gives you the freedom to add any amount of cheese and a ton of veggies so you can customize the ingredients and nutrition information. Here is what I did:

1 frozen pizza dough (thawed)
Your favorite vegan cheese (I love Go Veggie)
Any veggies you want! I used frozen broccoli, fresh onion, roma tomato, red pepper, fresh garlic and nooch.
Olive oil

Thaw the pizza dough completely. It should thaw overnight in the fridge or on the counter for 6 hours. Cover a cookie sheet with a little bit of flour and put the pizza dough on it, kneading it so that you spread it out and flatten it. You want it to be in an oval or circle just like pizza.
Pour a little bit of olive oil on the pizza dough and brush it around to cover the dough. Add your cheese and all of your veggies and then add a little cheese and nooch at the very end. Take one side of the dough and fold it to cover the other side. You'll be covering all the ingredients. Press down on the edges of the dough so it stays folded over.

Brush some olive oil on top of the folded over dough and pop in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Use a pizza cutter and slice up the stromboli!
You need to buy the dough that you knead into shape if you want to make a calzone or stromboli. Trader Joe's and Giant sells this kind of dough. Wegman's sells an already shaped pizza dough that is whole grain and delicious if you want pizza. Or you could make your own dough- I haven't tried to do this yet.
